The ORGN is experiencing problems with one of its servers since approximately
13:50 PST, Dec. 5. Our IT personnel are working on the issue. No real-time
correctors will be available from the ORGN until further notice. We will send
out an announcement via e-mail and this website when the problem is fixed. RINEX
files are still being created and are available for download.
Update - 12/07/11: Oregon Real-time GPS Network
(ORGN) Alert Update:
The servers for the ORGN are still being diagnosed by our IT personnel so no
real-time correctors are available from the ORGN. Our IT personnel are working
on the issue but can't give us a time line on when the problem will be solved.
We will send out a notice to all when real-time correctors are again available.
RINEX fiiles are still being created and pushed to our internet site,
www.theORGN.net , where they are available
for download.
|
Our IT personnel have fixed the problem with the ORGN
servers and the ORGN is again fully operational with
real-time correctors available.
We know people rely on our network and we are sorry for
any inconveniences in your work flow. |

ORGN users have been using the IP address of
167.131.0.205 since 2006 to access the ORGN real-time correctors via cell
modem. This old IP address will be decommissioned at 6:30 pm PDT, on Friday,
August 26, 2011 and not be usable after that.
A new, simpler DNS address has been assigned for rovers to access the
ORGN:
ORGN.ODOT.STATE.OR.US (not case-sensitive)
Or alternatively, for use in rovers that do not allow alpha input into the IP
field:
167.131.109.57
Important Note: The new alpha DNS can be used starting anytime; however,
the numerical 167.131.109.57 IP address cannot be used until the change
over time of 6:30 pm PDT, August 26, 2011, when the old numeric IP address will
be decommissioned. After 6:30 PM PDT on August 26, only the new
ORGN.ODOT.STATE.OR.US (or 167.131.109.57) address will be functional.
Users will need to enter the new IP address in all of their rover configuration
sets that use the ORGN in order to access the ORGN RT correctors after the
switchover.
The ports and mount points for various real-time correctors will remain the same
See our
ODOT support document for details on how to change the IP address for the
ORGN in a Leica GPS 1200 rover. If you use a different make or model of rover,
this document may give you some idea of how to configure your rover, but please
contact your GPS vendor for rover specific configuration details.
|
The new IP address for the ORGN (167.131.109.57) will
continue as the IP address for the ORGN until further
notice.

The Plate Boundary Observatory will be performing
maintenance on their NTRIP caster on Thursday morning, Nov 10, starting at 5:30
am until approximately noon.
This means that the ORGN will not be able to provide RT correctors from PBO
sites during the maintenance period. We suggest you plan your field work around
the PBO outage on Thursday.
We will send out another notice when the PBO caster
is operational again after the maintenance. |
The Plate Boundary Observatory has
finished the maintenance on its NTRIP Caster and the
ORGN is again receiving data streams from the PBO sites;
thus the ORGN is fully operational again |

The ORGN Partner Station PDXA is down due to
communication issues. ODOT will be updating comms on October 18, 2011 and the
Port of Portland will also be updating their receiver and antenna at that time.
It will take several weeks to compute a new position. This will not affect the
ability to use the ORGN in the Portland area because of the redundancy of
stations in the Portland Vancouver area.
Sorry for the inconvenience we will keep you
informed as issues arise and changes are made.

Oregon Real-time GPS Network (ORGN) stations MCSO
(Salem: Marion County), STAY (Stayton: Marion County), and WDBN (Woodburn:
Marion County) will be unavailable from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Tuesday, October
19, while Marion County updates its servers.
No real-time correctors from the three stations will be available during the
upgrade.

operational again.
|
Marion County completed their server updates with no
impact on their Oregon Real-time GPS Network (ORGN)
stations MCSO (Salem: Marion County), STAY (Stayton:
Marion County), and WDBN (Woodburn: Marion County), thus
those three stations are fully operational and ORGN
real-time correctors available from those stations.
